Raglan local area blueprint

The top priority initiatives for Raglan include:

• Support Raglan Naturally in their prioritised local initiatives such as local food production, energy self sufficiency, alternatives to weed spraying, GE free approaches and education regarding climate change.
• Partner with Raglan Naturally in respect to planning processes.
• Support a strong Maaori culture, including education on the Treaty of Waitangi, respecting tangata whenua, and creating Te Reo signage.
• Consider the development of a parking strategy.
• Moved to district-wide, or linked to district-wide but still top or very high: build a strong identity, support community in Zero Waste initiatives and spread learning across the district, extend walking and cycling network, including to Whale Bay.
