Governance Statement
The top priority initiatives for Raglan include:
Support Raglan Naturally in their prioritised local initiatives such as local food production, energy self sufficiency, alternatives to weed spraying, GE free approaches and education regarding climate change.
Partner with Raglan Naturally in respect to planning processes.
Support a strong Maaori culture, including education on the Treaty of Waitangi, respecting tangata whenua, and creating Te Reo signage.
Consider the development of a parking strategy.
Moved to district-wide, or linked to district-wide but still top or very high: build a strong identity, support community in Zero Waste initiatives and spread learning across the district, extend walking and cycling network, including to Whale Bay.
