Shortlist

Our hiring managers carry out shortlisting once a job advert closes.

You will be kept updated on your application status.

Phone screening
Shortlisted applicants will be phoned to carry out a phone screen.
Interviews

We will contact you to organize an interview time.

Our interviews are an opportunity for us to tell you more about the role and our organization. We ask a range of questions including behavioral, competency and situational based.

There will also be time for you to ask questions of us. In most cases, we do a second interview or a coffee catch up.

Pre-employment checks

If you are the preferred candidate, we will ask you to carry out some pre-employment checks.

All roles require the below checks:

  • Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check
  • Pre-employment medical (relevant to role) and drug testing
  • Reference checks

Certain roles may require the additional checks:

  • New Zealand Police Vetting
  • Credit Check
  • Qualification Check

All roles covered by the Children’s Act 2014 require shortlisted candidates to carry out relevant safety checks under the Act before commencing employment, as well as during employment.

The offer

You will receive a call from the hiring manager to confirm your offer and the details of the offer.

You can then expect to see an offer letter and agreement in your inbox from our People and Capability team within a few days.

Acceptance

To confirm your acceptance, you will sign and return a signed copy via email to our People and Capability team.

Pre-boarding and onboarding

Pre-boarding and onboarding – We are so excited to have you joining our team!

Once we receive your signed agreement we will start your pre-boarding journey. You can expect to see emails from us on topics such as:

  • Requesting new starter information (Payroll forms etc)
  • Your first day, where to go, where to park, who to ask for
  • A welcome from your team
  • Requesting a picture for your ID Card
  • And plenty more!
