Below is a list of road closures in our district. There is also a list of roads with roadworks taking place still open, but under traffic management. Please phone 0800 492 452 to report any road issues which aren't included on this list.

Scheduled road closures
- Great South Road, Ngaaruawaahia (Southbound Lane closure between Kelm Road and River Road) – Wastewater pipe installation.
- Horotiu Road at Park Road intersection – Construction for new road alignment – ongoing to May – Preliminary work started.
- Great South Road, Pookeno (Northbound Lane closed from Wellington Street to Ford Street) – Started and continuing to July/August – Pookeno main street upgrade.
- Avon Road (Intersection with SH2), Pookeno – 12 February to 8 March – SH2 Slip repair.
- Whitikahu Road (Woodlands Café Entrance to Gower Road) – 12 February to 8 March – Culvert replacement.
- Blackett Road, Whatawhata (Intersection with SH39) – 10 to 12 March – Resealing on SH39 – Nighttime closures. (Waka Kotahi project)
- Hampton Downs Rd (Northbound lane closure) – 10 to 12 March – Pavement repair – Nighttime closures.
- Hampton Downs Rd (Southbound lane closure) – 13 to 18 March – Pavement repair – Nighttime closures
- Great South Road, Huntly (Southbound lane between Fletcher Street and Main Street including Bell Crossing Street) – 17 to 19 March Night closures – Pavement repairs.
- Bothwell Loop Road, Waikaretu – Sunday 17 March 8am to 6pm – Pukekohe Car Club Bothwell loop rally.

Other upcoming major works and events under traffic management:
- River Road / Lake Road intersection –– new roundabout construction.
- Dominion Road, Tuakau – continuing through to March 2024 – Watermain Renewal.
- Old Taupiri Road (Ngaere Road to Galbraith Road) – Started 15 January for 3 months – Wastewater upgrade.
- Park Road at Great South Road intersection – Started through to May – temporary roundabout.
- Harrisville Road, Tuakau (Between Buckville Road and Logan Road) – 4 March to 5 April – Pavement Rehab, Road widening.

Everyday our workers are out making the roads safer. And everyone can help keep them safe.
When you see a roadworks sign, always slow down and be ready to stop.
