Pookeno

The population of Pookeno is increasing so quick that mobile coverage is not keeping up. A blind spot has been identified in the Hitchen subdivision area and so a new cell-phone tower has been approved to fill this gap.

Starting Monday 3 August contractors will be installing the new cell-phone tower outside 163 Hitchen Road.

This will involve laying concrete foundations followed by installing several cabinets then installing the new tower pole with a replacement streetlight attached and finally removing the existing streetlight and pole.

Detour/Traffic Management
There will be a three-way stop-go at times affecting Harriet Johnston Drive.
