Details: Built in 2002 to replace the original hall that was opened in 1912, the Aka Aka Hall is made up of one main hall and a meeting/supper room. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and the hall has chairs and tables along with indoor sports equipment. The venue is suitable for a range of activities including events, classes and sports and recreation. The local school often uses the hall and has joint ownership. Bookings can be made via Aka Aka School or by phone after hours.

Location: 1298 State Highway 26, Eureka

Floor Area: Main Hall 229m2, Total 410m2.

Details: The original Eureka Hall was built by the local community in 1914 on land donated by Mrs. Murphy, a pioneer of the area. A new hall was built in the late 1960’s and is the hall on the site today. The hall features a kitchen, toilets, stage, meeting room and plenty of off-street parking. Tables and chairs are available for use. The hall is an excellent venue to host trainings, birthday parties, funerals, community meetings, clubs, and classes.

Details: Since opening in the 1950’s the Glen Murray War Memorial Hall has been substantially extended and refurbished. The hall was built as a memorial for those in the area who fought in World War 2. With a bar/meeting room and a kitchen area as well as the main hall the space is suitable for community groups of all kinds, social gatherings and more.

Details: Originally the Hukanui Hall, a rebuild was completed in 1928 and then again in 1998, which is the hall now servicing the Gordonton community. A focal point of the hall is the memorial outside and the small playground. Inside there is a variety of rooms including main hall, a stage, a bar, a large kitchen, toilets and plenty of tables and chairs. The hall is often used for indoor bowls, special birthdays, weddings, craft classes, and hosts an annual Anzac Day service.

Location: 6 Martin Lane, Horsham Downs

Floor Area: Main Hall 335m2, Total 460m2.

Details: The hall, which was built in 1987 and then extended in 1990 in place of the original 1924 Horsham Downs Hall, features a main hall, meeting room, three badminton courts, and a kitchen with a small bar. Available for use are chairs and tables. The hall is often used for community and sporting events along with music classes and family functions.

The Riverside Rooms and entry foyer total 270m2.

Details: The Civic Centre holds the Waikato Coalfields Museum collection. Behind the Civic Centre is the Riverside Room. The Riverside Room is available for meetings or small gatherings and features a kitchen and meeting table and chairs. The venue has a new steel roof and aluminium joinery. Details: The hall is the former Karioitahi School, built in 1931, and maintains its original interior and fittings. There is a grass roadside car park and some parking space available on the sealed area outside the hall building. There are grassed areas, an old tennis court and outside toilets. Inside there is a main hall, corridor, and a kitchenette with hot water. There are no cooking facilities. The hall hosts various courses and social and community events. It is suitable for small gatherings, meetings, craft, and other activity groups with a maximum of 50 people inside. There are no disability facilities. There is a World War 1 memorial roll of honour inside.

Details: The original hall was built in 1940 and when the upgrade in 1960 happened the structure was maintained and turned into the supper room. This building is of brick and fibro cladding with a corrugated roof and timber windows and doors. There is a variety of rooms including main hall, stage, lobby entrance, library, dining, kitchen, male and female toilets.

Details: The original Mangataawhiri Hall unfortunately burned down in 1961 but was quickly rebuilt and open to the public again in 1962. This building is of brick and weather board and corrugated iron roof, aluminium joinery. There is a metal carpark, garden shed and water tank. Inside there is a variety of rooms including main hall, dining, kitchen, stage, lobby entrance, male and female toilets.

Details: This building was originally constructed in 1903. There have been some additions and renovations over the years. There is a sealed carpark shared with the Maramarua Volunteer Fire Brigade and some grassed areas. Inside there is a variety of rooms including a main hall, kitchen, and toilets. The hall has wheelchair access. It is used for indoor bowls, community events such as school activities and Anzac Day services.

Details: Rebuilt in 1961 after the original 1904 Matangi hall fell victim to fire in 1959, the hall features a variety of rooms including a main hall, kitchen, dining, lobby, stage, and toilets, including an accessible toilet. The hall is used for indoor bowls, badminton, Plunket, events, community meetings and school discos.

Details: One of the newest halls in the district, Meremere Hall has one meeting room, offices, and the main hall. The kitchen has four stoves and a dishwasher, and 110 chairs and tables are available. Toilets, showers, wheelchair access and indoor basketball courts along with a sealed carpark are all features.  The hall is used for sport and recreation, events, classes, and community meetings. The local fire brigade also holds their training at the hall and the doctor’s clinic is based out of the hall.

Details: The Naike Hall features a kitchen, supper room, toilets and access to tables and chairs to seat 100. Indoor bowling equipment, badminton net, table tennis table and a tennis court are also features. The hall is used for indoor bowls, a dance studio for performances and the free wheeler group. The school buildings next door are also available for use.

Details: The hall is made up of one main hall and a meeting/supper room. Features include a stage, kitchen (with oven, pie warmer, microwaves and zip but no crockery or cutlery), toilets, and a storeroom. The hall is used by dance groups, Sport Waikato, art and craft classes, family events and community meetings including church groups, Lions Club, and the local schools. The hall provides its users with tables and chairs for up to 144 people.

Details: Ohinewai Hall is made up of a large clean, air-conditioned hall; an anteroom for smaller meetings; kitchen with fridge, oven, and microwave. There are also lockable storage rooms, chairs, tables, toilets, and showers.  A large carpark is often used for caravan clubs who use the hall as a communal area.  Three artificial tennis courts and a tennis clubroom at the rear of the property make up this complex. The facility is regularly used by a wide variety of groups: badminton, wood-turners, school events, exercise clubs, weddings, parties, religious groups, and community gatherings.  Inexpensive to hire and in a great location for people coming from different locations, it's a good "in the middle" place to meet.

Details: Built in 2006, the hall is made up of a main area/gymnasium which has markings for basketball, badminton, and volleyball. There are two meeting rooms, one on the ground floor and one upstairs. Upstairs has an attached tearoom. There is also a stage, green room, and kitchen downstairs. The hall also has storage rooms, toilets, and a bluetooth/wireless sound system. The facility is used by various sports groups and fitness classes, school holiday programmes, adult dance classes, dance competitions, balls, and weddings. The community also hold meetings, fairs, expos, and the local school use it for assemblies, sports practice, prizegiving and cultural events.

Details: The hall is well maintained and can cater for up to 200 people and has disabled access available. It features a full large modern kitchen, chairs, tables, and a stage. Heat pumps are installed for heating and cooling and toilets are available inside the Hall. The hall is used for a range of sporting activities including badminton, tae kwon do and yoga, school, community and family events, including weddings, birthday parties and funerals.

There is also a separate smaller facility with disabled access located behind the Hall. The Pavilion, which can cater for up to 30 people, features modern décor, a full large modern kitchen, chairs, tables, heat pump, indoor toilets and an outdoor deck area. The Pavilion is used for a range of community and family events and meetings.
