Notice is hereby given that Waikato District Council has received an application from Targa NZ to hold a Tarmac Rallysprint event in the Te Kauwhata area on Sunday,18 February 2024.
As a result Waikato District Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads to allow for the event to take place.
The proposed roads and times for these closures are:
- Waikare Road, full length from 9.15am to 5.50pm
- Hall Road, Churchill East Road and Plantation Road - 9.50am to 5.15pm.
For the proposed period of closure the roads would be manned at intersections by clearly identifiable marshals equipped with radio communication and access will be provided in the event of an emergency.
