Notice is hereby given that the Waikato District Council needs to close the Mercer Ferry Bridge in Mercer to all traffic from 9am on Tuesday 2 June 2020 to 6pm Thursday 4 June 2020.
The closure allows essential work to be carried out as part of the repair of the bridge joints.
Traffic controllers will be on site to assist with emergency services through the site if required.
Pedestrians will be able to cross the bridge during the period of closure to traffic.
Alternative routes over the river are via Tuakau Bridge and Rangiriri Bridge.
The work is weather dependent so if the work is not able to be carried out on the above days, the closure will be scheduled for 8-10 June.
