Notice is hereby given that the Waikato District Council needs to extend the period of closure for a section of Travers Road, Te Kauwhata, from now to Wednesday 17 April 2019.
The road is closed to through traffic from the intersection with Te Kauwhata Road to 138/139 Travers Road to enable Hornsby Construction to carry out construction work for the installation of stormwater pipes to prevent flooding of the road.
In addition a raised section of the road is being removed to improve visibility and safety.
The reason for the extension is that extra work is required to widen the road on the Te Kauwhata Rd end due to ground conditions.
While the work is taking place, traffic is being diverted via Wayside Road.
This notice is given pursuant to Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.
