Section 90 (1) Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
Waikato District Council advises that, following a decision of the Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority on 29 September 2016 in respect of appeals received against Council’s Provisional Local Alcohol Policy, the Provisional Local Alcohol Policy has now been adopted and therefore ceases to be provisional.
Council advises that at its meeting on 5 December 2016 it was resolved to bring the entire policy, with the exception of clauses 4.6, 5.6 and 6.6 relating to maximum trading hours, into force on 1 January 2017. Clauses 4.6, 5.6 and 6.6 will come into force on 1 April 2017.
The Local Alcohol Policy and the process followed in its adoption may be viewed on Council’s website at https://www.waikatodistrict.govt.nz/lap. The policy may also be viewed at all Council offices and public libraries during ordinary opening hours.
