Development contribution levies are paid by developers for the portion of Council infrastructure required to support growth.
A recent review of Council’s Development Contributions Policy confirmed technical aspects of Council’s development contribution process and compliance with legislative changes. This review did not result in a major change to the Policy. However, changes to the supporting information were made to align with the assumptions and work programmes within Council’s 2015-2025 Long Term Plan.
Council welcomes your submission on the proposed changes. The submission period will run from Wednesday 29 July 2015 closing at 5pm on Wednesday 26 August 2015. You can present your submission in person to Council on Wednesday 9 September 2015.

What happens next?
Council will acknowledge receipt of your submission.
Following the 26 August 2015 closing date, all submissions will be reported to and reviewed by the Councillors. Submissions can be presented in person on 9 September 2015. Council will make final decisions on the 2015/16 Development Contributions Policy appendices, including DC charges, at the 14 September 2015 Council meeting.
