Dr John Lightbody court renewal

To ensure we meet the needs and preferences of our community, we will be consulting with the Tuakau youth group and the Tuakau Combined Sports Society to determine the best use of the courts.

Whether it's for netball, basketball, tennis, or any other sports, we want to ensure our facilities cater to everyone's interests.

As part of this project, we will also be assessing the condition of the existing lighting and exploring opportunities for lighting improvements.

Project Updates

February 2024 - The contract has been awarded to Clear Property & Projects to undertake the works. Work has started onsite, and the contractors are progressing well.  We have removed some of the cracked asphalt and prepping for subbase to be placed with an aim to have concrete poured beginning of February 2024.

Works are progressing well. The concrete has been poured and the cracks in the asphalt have been remedied. Channel drains have been installed along with new kick boards. Our aim to have the turf installed over the next couple of weeks (weather and material dependent).
