Waikato District Council has organised the following days for residents of Port Waikato, Pokeno, Tuakau and Onewhero to drop off their inorganic refuse. The cost is $15 per trailer load. Payment on the day (no eftpos - cash only).

Saturday 31 October
8.30am to 12pm - Pokeno - Truck stop - Great South Rd, Pokeno
Saturday 7 November
8.30am to 12pm - Tuakau - Tuakau Saleyards
Saturday 28 November
8.30am to 12pm - Onewhero/Pukekawa - Onewhero Rugby Club
Saturday 5 December
8.30am to 12pm
Items which can be dropped off include:
- Furniture eg chairs, tables, cabinets
- Lawnmowers and bikes
- Carpet
- Metal items from household renovations (corrugated iron, pipes etc) up to two metres long
- Appliances including washing machines, stoves and fridges.
The following items are NOT accepted:
- Hazardous material such as paint and chemicals
- Concrete, soil, green waste and tyres.
