For the first time in over 15 years, we have a candidates evening in Te Kauwhata. 

It's your chance to make a decision on who you will vote for as Mayor and Councillor 

Candidates will tell you a little about themselves and why they are standing. This is your chance to ask questions BEFORE they are elected.  The meeting will be chaired in a professional non-aggressive position maintained.

Masks are optional.  Stay afterwards to chat over tea or coffee.

Candidates present: Mayoral, Waerenga-Whitikahu ( Waikato District Council), Maaori wards and Waikato Regional candidates.

Location: St Margarets Church Hall, 3 Waerenga Road, Te Kauwhata
Time: 7.00pm to 9.30pm


To ensure Council remains neutral throughout the elections, we will not run or endorse any candidate event. Meet the candidate events displayed on the website are held by community groups. Community groups holding an event are encouraged to get in touch with Council so these can be displayed on the website.
