ANZAC Day honours our returned servicemen and women, and others who have died in conflicts and peace-keeping efforts around the world. 

Below is information about the services being held in the Waikato District on Sunday 25 April 2021

Ngaruawahia

Dawn Service: 5.45am, depart the Ngaruawahia RSA (Market St) to march to the Field of Remembrance, Great South Rd. 6am, Dawn Service, Field of Remembrance, Great South Rd. 7am, Guests are invited back to the RSA for a light breakfast and refreshments.

Civic Service: 10.45am seated for 11am start. Ngaruawahia War Memorial Hall, Galileo St. Following the service, a march to The Point Cenotaph where you are invited to attend the laying of the wreaths. Guests can then march back to the Ngaruawahia RSA.

Tuakau

Parade will assemble at the Tuakau Cosmopolitan Club on 16 Carr Street at 10.45am. The public will assemble at Central Park on George Street for remembrance service at 11am.

Following service wreaths will be laid outside Tuakau War Memorial Town Hall and guests are invited for a small morning tea in the supper room of the hall.

Huntly

From 5am people can gather at Huntly RSA, William St and at 5.45am there will be a march to the cenotaph in Wight St for a service at 6am.

Parade will return. to the RSA. 7.15am – leave RSA to muster for service at Kimihia Cemetery at 7.30am.

Te Kauwhata

Dawn Service:

Meet outside Peplers and Remax at 5.45am to march to the memorial for the Dawn Service at 6am.

Remembrance Service:

Everyone who wishes to march meet at the Motul garage, Mahi Road at 10.30am

March to the town memorial at 10.50am for the ANZAC service at 11am.

 

Pokeno

There will be a service at the Pokeno Cenotaph at 9am. Please meet beforehand at the truck stop for the parade. Bring a small plate for morning tea.

Taupiri

Assemble at Taupiri School in front of the admin building at 8.45am for march to the cenotaph for service at 9am.

Port Waikato

Service at 9am at Port Waikato Fire Station.

Gordonton

Dawn Service at 6am at the Cenotaph by the hall.

Maramarua

Assemble at the Red Fox Tavern for a 9am commemoration.

Raglan

Raglan ANZAC Day service will be held at 11am at the Cenotaph, Bow Street, Raglan.

Eureka

Service will be held at Eureka Hall on the corner of Hunter Road and SH26, at 9.30am.
